Yes, Brideshead is being revisited in Richmond. The first ever large-scale stage production of Evelyn Waugh’s classic novel Brideshead Revisited is touring England this summer, appearing at Richmond Theatre, 29 June – 2 July.
The play begins in 1943 and, finding himself in familiar English countryside, Charles Ryder at last confronts his memories of his first youthful encounter with Brideshead Castle and its eccentric inhabitants, not least his friend, the enigmatic Sebastian Flyte.
The acclaimed playwright, Bryony Lavery creates a sparkling new re-imagining of Waugh’s classic novel. Brian Ferguson plays Charles and Christopher Simpson is Sebastian, directed by Damian Cruden.
