Tackling local crime

Despite Richmond being one of the safest boroughs in London, there is still concern about the level of robberies and incidents reported locally, so the council has injected an extra £100,000 into community safety for the coming year. While crime is actually down in Richmond, there has been an increase in burglaries and serious youth violence. As well as tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, the extra money will be used to fund initiatives that will bring communities together, including supporting Neighbourhood Watch.
