Here is a selection of some of the great local companies we’ve helped:
Westend Bed Company
Aim of advertising: To raise local awareness of the change of ownership and to highlight the range of their beds, from standard to very high end.
Comment: ‘The previous issue was an amazing success. The editorial page produced at least 5 bed sales – people were coming into the shop with the torn out page and telling us that it had prompted them to visit the store. I would like to do more editorials if possible.’
Outcome: Achieving the higher local recognition of the range of beds on offer and the different options available – offering so much more than a bed frame and mattress.
Brent Cooper, MD at Westend Bed Co, has a vast knowledge not only if beds, but posture and how sleep affects body and mind throughout the day. He was really pleased with the editorial, alongside his advert, and wants regular articles to highlight different aspects of his business.
Colin Ferns Mercedes
Aim of advertising: To highlight that Colin’s company offers repair and service for all models of Mercedes – from classics to the latest release.
Comment:‘We’ve had some good new clients and Living In magazines has always provided helpful and friendly assistance.’
Outcome: The magazines help to maintain his local profile as the only specialised independent Mercedes repair and service shop in Richmond.
Colin has a full page advert in both magazines and has been a valued customer since my very first issue more than six years ago! Colin’s absolute passion for Mercedes cars is fabulous.
Pee Wee and Funakoshi Karate
Aim of advertising: To help Pee Wee Karate (3-6 yr olds) and Funakoshi Karate (6yrs – adults) to gain new karate students in their 52 venues across South West London.
Comment: ‘We wanted to get our brand out there, so that when a mum thinks ‘karate’ Pee Wee and Funakoshi Karate pops into her head!’
Outcome: ‘Very good and Pippa is always very helpful. With the help of Living In magazines I hope to become the leader in providing excellent karate tuition in SW London.’
Debi truly loves teaching karate and I’m always hearing great feedback about her classes. It’s a pleasure to help her to promote her business!
Wimbledon Art Studios
Aim of advertising: Promoting twice yearly Opens Studios Art Show
Comment: ‘We only use Living In to reach out to the Richmond & Kew and Barnes & East Sheen areas and we have found visitors to our show from those areas have discovered us via these publications.’
Outcome: ‘Pippa’s customer service is always responsive and friendly.’
Wimbledon Art Studios houses around 280 artists. Twice a year they hold a wonderful open house exhibition, where you are free to view fabulous artwork, chat to the artists and sip a glass of wine or two. Fabulous. And I bought two of my favourite paintings there last year…
Stagecoach (Drama Classes)
Aim of advertising: To let the local community know about the school and the classes we run.
Comment: ‘Any contact with the magazine is always done in a very professional and friendly way.’
Outcome: ‘Good local exposure. Being local and speaking to the general public and my [class]parents, I know that this magazine is read and not just put in the recycling!’
Stephen has been running the hugely successful Kew Stagecoach drama classes for many years and directs fantastic productions.
